Purchased at cellar door in about 2013, while visiting the esteemed Bistro Molines for lunch. A mixed dozen followed me back to Perth, and this is the last remaining bottle.
Mid yellow in colour. Slightly developed nose of lemon curd, and a little honeysuckle. The palate shows high acidity, lanolin, more lemon preserves, a little grassiness, and the early signs of honey. It finishes very cleanly, and reasonably long.
I'm possibly drinking this a couple of years too early. Plenty of time left, and a refreshing wine for a warm afternoon.

Hi Allan,
there's some really good sandy alluvial soil up in the Mount View area, despite the steep topography. In fact, it's interesting how many of the best sites around there can grow really good shiraz on the steeper parts of their sites (in dark red/brown balsitic soils), and excellent Semillon on the sandy ex-river-bed flats at the bottom. It's the prettiest part of the whole valley, if you ask me.
I've been meaning to dine at Bistro Molines for years...do you recall how it was ?
