A real classic and such a great QPR. The switch to the screwcap makes such a huge difference in several ways, but particularly allowing it to age at an even slower pace. This can have both positive and negative implications, but to me it is a positive thing for this wine. I drank with two other non-wine geek types and they raved about it as well.
This one vintage showed up in our system several years ago, never to be seen again unfortunately...

Hazy notes from a couple of days ago. This is still cruising along nicely - the screwcap seems to make this almost immortal. Medium bodied, light lanolin and toast flavours, nice intensity, elegance and balance, with the acidity still being a key element of the wine. Still seems quite youthful, glad to have a couple bottles left. No rush (A-)!

Sounds wonderful, lucky you. Never did see the Elizabeth this side of the Rocky Mountains, not even the current releases let alone the museum/cellar releases.
