For the record, this is the Estate (or standard) chardonnay, not the Block 8. I have a 6 pack of the Block 8 arriving next week.
Pale yellow in colour. Nose is white peach and pink grapefruit. with a little cashew. The palate is where it gets more interesting - a mix of modest lees influence, savoury notes and developing fruit, heading towards a harmonious finish.
In balance now and should last for a few years yet.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.

Sounds like a very appetizing wine Allan. Unfortunately not one of the wines available here.

Can't help you with that, Mahmoud. For me, it was the house white through much of the 2000s, and for some reason dropped off the radar for about 5 years. Back on the buying roster now though, although the Block 8 (which, in the 2000s was beyond my financial reach) is rapidly taking over.
