RRP was $50 when I purchased this from the stunning cellar door in 2011. This is (not surprisingly) their premium Riesling, and the back label notes that Neil Paulett believes it was the finest Riesling he had ever produced (he may have made even better in the intervening 10 years )
Pale yellow in colour. Pristine lime / lemon nose, with just the faintest hints of kero initially. A little sherbet and ginger as well. There's early signs of toasty development, but quite modest at this stage.
The palate is clean and full of that lime juice. Again, there's only a touch of development (honey, cordial characters), and this is more obvious on the finish than across the palate, which has zingy acidity supporting the citrus. Long clean finish.
This is classy Riesling, and possibly drinking at its peak now, although may develop further in the next 2-3 years.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.

Thanks for the note Allan. My only experience with Paulette's was at cellar door back in 2001 and my impression at the time was that their Rieslings were made in a really dry, austere style, very much in need of development. Sounds like they still make them that way and that they need a minimum of ten years to start expanding.
As far as I know they haven't made it to my neck of the woods.
