Paul,

There are a few in that lot i would certainly go with, all the stickies for a start, even if i think the Bullers Tokay is better than the Muscat.

The Kilikannons are good and not as huge as many others on the list (almost elegant by comparion.  ) and i like most of the listed Yalumbas too.
Cheers

Torb

You're right - should have said reds only - and Yalumba Reserve's and Octavius are far too oaky for my liking.

It's more a style thing than absolute quality.

I had the Torbreck Descendant 2001 the other night...it is an absolutely stunning wine...just a little too expensive :(

This is brilliant! Too many to choose from. Even the wine investors will be scratching their heads.

I gave a Kilikanoon heads up 12 months ago for their riesling-stunning-and the very pleasant style of the Road Block cabernet. Will be interested to try the premiums and refreshing to note Torb's comments that they aren't the parker style.

Interesting the 01 Henry's Drive. Many here have said sickly and undrinkable.

Hello Guest

Parker is softening I think.

Yes he loves Sparky's wines and some of the 16%+ monsters, but this time he liked

Turkey Flat
Winter Creek
Kilikanoon

and some others with some restraint and style to them.

Sure the 100 pointers are huge alcohol fruit jobs, but lots of good wines from 88 up too.
regards

Agreed - had this at CD last weekend, very, very good, but fair price IMO is $60ish rather than $125,

cheers

Lately I've been drinking some Cults and compared to the O' faithfull Icon wines, the Iconic r much better such as the Command 98, Eilleen Hardy 98, Meschach 98/99. Less expensive and readily available too.

Must have been hard work to post Parker's references. He is one of the greatest tasters of our time although just like TORB I too believe that the Buller's Tokay is markedly better than the Muscat. However I've been reading about the man for a while and see where he is coming from. The wine world need Parker and as a one man show, he is excellent.
Thanks for posting his list.
