Sort of wine related help needed

Post by TORB »

Hi Good Peoples,

I have two new editions to my family, a Blue Point Himalayan (left) and a Chocolate Point Rag Doll (right) and am having trouble coming up with names. The best I can do so far, is "Terror" and "Rossa".

Anyone have any other bright ideas for sort of wine related names please?

...and none of you smart bastards to suggest names like Sauv and Blanc or Pinot and Noir. :P

These animals are lovely.
Call the one on the left Dracula or Red Mayhem and the one on the right Gandalf the White.
I know you don't like white but these are a beautiful pair.

A blast from the past - Fume & Blanc.........OK, I'm ducking for cover!

If you can see through it, it's not worth drinking!

OK, what about Green and Ash?  Then there's Basket and Press.

Terror sounds good too but would work better with Mayhem or Fear. Neither appears to have any red colouring (nor green for that matter).

Thought about Pussy and Cat but the latter's already been used in Breakfast At Tiffany's but Puss and Boots could work?

Pretty-looking kittens Ric.

Cheers

Robert & Parker?

Or how about naming them after beloved members of the forum.

Call them both "Slippers". They'd make a good pair.

Call them Cork and Stelvin and watch the two of them fight it out (let us know who wins in the long run).

Or call one Omyces and the other Brett, as in Brett an' Omyces (sorry!).

Tokay & Muscat?
Probably better for brown kittens (possibly with an olive rim :? )

Reidel & Speigelau? A bit hard to call for without sounding like an audition for The Sound Of Music

... tho' I do like Platinum & Grey Label. Would that get shortened to Plattie & Grazza? How about Cab & Shazza! :P

French theme - Margaux and Medoc?

Australian - Yarra, Hunter, Margaret, River

Beautiful kittens Ric - perhaps if I stop in on our next return trip to Sydney I could convince the better half it is time to get a cat
(repeat after me wait until the children are big enough not to torture the poor creature :( )

ragdolls

Post by Paul »

We have 2 ragdolls now about 18 mths old,
male is Maximus (the greatest Roman general) who lies around on his back with 4 legs in the air,
female is bambina who is somewhat fragile and is learning to lie around with her legs in the air.

How about....
Grange, Runrig, descendant, avignon, old bastard, oracle, prodigal, moomooroo, moppa, bethany, seven (george from Sienfeld loved this name), oscar, 707, Grace, Moet, Rose, Louis.....

Henny and Penny (as in 'the sky is falling!') - but named after Penfolds and Henschke, the makers of the two most iconic australian reds.

Blue Point Himalayan - Eden (for the elevation theme)
Chocolate Point Rag Doll - Dorrien, Greenoch, Lyndoch, Nuriootpa or Moorooroo (for the chocolate theme)

Otherwise, go with Rothschild and Hoffmann. Rothschild and Hoffmann Einstein. :)

Syrah and Shiraz.

(and as pet, pet names: razza and rah rah).

Oh, I like both kinds of wine - both syrah and shiraz.

They are the names for your cats I reckon!

She (if at least one is female) and Raz.

Nice photos Ric. I showed them to W and she suggested Grange + Grace.

But if they're anything like our cat (Tabitha, named after the wife of W's fav author Stephen King) they will choose if and when to respond to whatever name you decide on. :)

Thanks for all the suggestions, it looks like the Himalayan will be Shiraz and the Ragdoll will be Muscat.

Lets hope they get on well with Red (Golden Retriever) Goofy (The Newfie) Sam (the obnoxius old Poodle) and Worry ( the old Burmese.)

I need a pet shop to feed the buggers! :)
