G'day. Given 2003 wasn't the best of vintages in Victoria, I decanted this wine with a mix of expectations.
A great nose. Blackberries, (more than) a touch of menthol, violets, blueberries, all leaping out of the glass. Oak is just perceptible in a supporting role. The palate is a little more restrained, only medium bodied, with a touch of coffee and a little thickness or viscosity leading to a modest finish. Tannins are well integrated, and not influencing the wine much, while the overall flavour also diminishes a little at the end.
So, in the end, my mix of expectations were met. Great nose, OK palate. Enjoyable, but not superb.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
