Adele (TQ) yes should be easy for a 200+ post thread here.
Just found the 2014 vintage release mailer on my desk under a pile of stuff...Shiraz still the same price, all other wines have either shifted just $5-10.
The polar opposite to the egregious thread...hip hip hooray. Fools and the deluded please take note!
Will send off for a mixed 2 dozen I feel.
Have a 96 Cabernet sitting up...might knock that off too.
Cheers
Craig
PS. The Bowen mailer arrived today as well, 16s at $27 ea. Think I paid $18 for the 98s...remarkable value really.
With that, the above and Wild Duck Creek to take care of...might need a second job.

Received mine also.
Based on the offline it's going to be a Cab fest for me.
I think the Cab malbec is a little underrated so I'll be shooting for some more of that too.
So this is 2016 vintage? What's the report on that in the CV?
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.
Reading through some of the vintage reports, Cabernet and Shiraz reportedly fared the best for 2016 Clare, though I gather it was a somewhat difficult vintage all round. I sent off for the obligatory 6 pack of straight Cab, plus a dozen of the Cab Malbec. Plus a case of shiraz, and a mixed case of the Shiraz blends. Finally, 3 x MoA for good measure. Fingers crossed.

Good quality & good yields across most varieties. Mild season with no real heat waves.
Well stop on the 98's cause they're all too young...
But you should really try the newer ones because they're not like the old ones....Plushier fruit (still red), good acid but the tannin structure is different...they're cleaner (less acetic acid)...Structure wise I don't know if they'll age the same....
The wines aren't bad...but they're very different than older Wendourees...I would actually say the newer wines are less polarizing..but if you liked the old style, you might not like them as much...

Hi all,
I just received the mailer on Friday 29th, Red crayon, I only got Shiraz blends and missed out the rest of 2015. Finger crossed that I can get 6 of each this time round.
I started my Wendouree love affair following a Houn Hooke review in the SMH around 1990. In those days there were no limits on purchases. The first restriction came with their 1995 'Centenary Year' shiraz. When the grading crayon system came out I luckily went straight to black initials. Once though I only ordered the shiraz and got knocked back. So always order a spread of wines for more certainty.
This year I am getting shiraz, shiraz mataro, cab malbec and cab sav. Leave some for others
Imugene, cure for cancer. Brainchip, solution for compute.
My friend got the mailer and I have gone in for a joint mixed selection as normal. I said last year I wouldn't after the farce of who got what (I think I only got 2 bottles in the end, while others on their first year seemed to get everything they ordered) ... but oh well, I put in for just a mix 6, see what I get!

They must be softening - I was one strike and you're out - about 7 years ago.
After speaking to them recently in relation to a lost mailer, they explained that they don't keep any electronic records of prior purchases and literally use your order form for the prior year as the basis for sending the mailer for the current year.
So that means there is no way of recording who deserves a move to Black signature then!! If no records are kept it is very difficult to determine who your long term and valuable customers are. Something to consider.
Just for clarity - being a black signature is not the 'be all'. But like Sam I was decidedly pissed off when I was offered stuff all last year after being a long term purchaser.
Like Sam and wiggum I was pissed off after last year's let down and considered moving my money elsewhere, but boy, prices have skyrocketed so much for premium wine everywhere else that I can't turn my back on them. Wendouree is now looking decidedly cheap compared to even average offerings from other producers. Let's just hope we get a better chunk of what we ordered than a year ago...
I know a lot of people who were pretty put off by what happened last year. Hopefully it is a one off in terms of organisation as that is what i heard from an insider. But going by the lack of enthusiasm and chat on here regarding this years mailer compared to other years it looks like it might have had an impact on some people's enthusiasm.
