This is a museum release from the company that makes probably half the wines in the Perth Hills (for themselves and others). Their flagship red, the Joseph Myatt Reserve, is increasingly including PV in their CS dominant blend, and this may well have been a precursor. It's good to see it with some age, although I don't recall seeing it when it was first made.
Purple red in colour. Lovely lifted nose with red and blue berries, violets, a little cigar-box, a little vanilla, some earthiness and some dried herbs. The palate has strong supporting acid, grippy but fine grained tannins, developed fruits across the tongue, and some mocha / coffee grounds, leading to a medium to long finish.
This may improve over the next couple of years, but is looking pretty good now. I picked up a six pack without hesitation.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
