Tried alongside the remains of the 2015 opened the previous day, for comparison purposes.
Pale yellow and considerably lighter than the 2015. Initially, the nose was all about fruit, especially nectarine, but with time it opened up to offer savoury oak, a little vanilla and yeast, and yellow peaches. There's also a little gunsmoke.
The palate was mouthfilling with fruit again to the fore, but the other elements all combining to support the fruit. Good length and acidity, and there was a number of things happening at once.
This appears considerably less developed than its slightly older sibling, and should age well.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
