Don't know the Colonial wines, they are no doubt export to the US only as many wines are now.

Glaymond is export to the US only but I have tried them. Small production off family vineyards at Greenock, literally made in a galvo garage but bloody impressive for depth of fruit and structure. No plans to dramatically increase production, keeping it small but quality. Australia's loss is the US' gain, support these guys, it's done on a shoestring.

Spinifex has been around for a few vintages, again small production but quality wines that have some Aust distribution.

Schwarz is a new export only label, same story again.

All of these are well worth grabbing if you can. It's these types of guys that ,make Australia's most interesting wines, I just wish they didn't export it all!!

Interesting. I did some searches on Colonial. The Exile 2002 rated 98pts. by Parker is priced @ US$200+

The Colonial Estate is owned and managed by 'cult' winemaker Jonathan Maltus who made his name with St Emilion's Château Teyssier and its cult sister wines Le Dôme and Château Laforge. The Colonial Estate is comprised of a range of vineyards throughout South Australia's Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. The winemaking team comprises of Neil Whyte, Cyril Beziat (from Château Teyssier) and Scott Hazeldine, with Gilles Pauquet consulting, as he does for Châteaux Cheval Blanc, Figeac, and Teyssier.
Maltus uses a number of methods unheard of in Barossa, home to some of Australia's most celebrated small producers. He imported all his winemaking equipment from St Emilion: wooden vats, barrels, triage tables and makes sure the wine is genuinely 'handmade' to the point of sorting the grapes both before and after destemming, ensuring nothing other than pristine grapes are placed into the vat. The Spinifex is available here and is an excellent wine and is a partnership between Peter Schell from Turkey Flat and Magali Gely. Both the Esprit and the Indigene are worth seeking out.

I recently tried to get the Jason Schwartz Nitschke Block, last years vintage is long gone but I beleive our beloved dictator will be getting some of the latest releases in but you may have to join the queue
