I'm in Mudgee tomorrow for one day. Can anyone recommend any wineries? I know nothing about the area.
Thanks
Mark

di Lusso are interesting and had good woodfired pizza last time I was there.
Robert Stein and Huntington Estate offer up good traditional aussie reds.
Small winemakers center is worth a look, specifically for Quilty wines.
Skimstone make a good quaffer shiraz/cabernet which was more elegant than expected.

Mark, I haven't been to Mudgee since 2001 so it's inevitable that much has changed. Hence I did not respont to your post earlier. Back then I was impressed by Huntington Estate and their elegant, dryer style of wine. I recall the reds having unusual bin or lot numbers or some such thing. I know that it was sold so it's good to hear that winetastic can still recommend them. Which wineries did you visit?
