So many mugs in this game. I sat with a good friend in Piedmont, scammed and hushed on his rare Barolo, with a winemaker who deemed his bottles unrepresentative to probably fake, and low and behold the last time the winemaker saw these wines was when Rudi presented themat a dinner in his honor in LA.

Excellent doco...

I used to see the 'Angry Men' in the private rooms of some of NY's top restaurants. The wines they opened were nothing short of incredible, particularly the old champagnes, and they had them in huge quantities. 50 - 80 year old bottles were opened wth abandon. My guess is the Champers were legit.

Kapon, based on limited interaction with him, confirmed my thoughts (and those of many others) of his 'abilities'. (Shan't writ anything more than that). The whole thing is incredibly sordid and leaves the viewer convinced there must have been others involved.

I recall reading some info on this on the US forums
sounds like there were some incredible wines opened of questionable legitimacy
