Lindemans 1959 Bin 1590 x 1 and 1965 Bin 3110 x2
Lindemans 1959 Bin 1590 x 1 and 1965 Bin 3110 x2
Just a quick note to see if anyone has any particular interest in the above wines. I learnt of them today from a colleague who has a client moving overseas and therefore is looking to dispose of his cellar. Sadly they are out of my league, but if anyone is seriously interested please PM and I can provide a little more detail. The seller knows the market price so no bargain at present.

If the 3110 has been properly cellared, it should be absolutely excellent. Unfortunately haven't had any for about 20yrs (when ii was available for far less than sheep stations, maybe $50) Have no experience with the 1590. 3110 has been known to go for best part of a grand at auction now, it is an incredible wine.

Out of curiosity I checked out auction results from 2014 and 2015. Last sales were around $1500 per bottle. I remember eyeing up a bottle of the Bin 3110 about 20 years ago for $90 and was tempted but too stingy...

The one we had here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14225 we paid about $1600 for.

Dave, I was going to say that I drank a fair bit of the 3100 and 3110 in the 80's particularly at Fleurie in Melbourne, where I used to do the odd wine dinner, but I noticed I already said that in your thread from 2014!! :
The 3110 is truly a fabulous wine, one of those handful of Australian wines that is both a privilege to drink and which represents a glass of Australian winemaking history. A freak. Just wish I could get it for what it cost in the 80's

What price do people seem to consider appropriate for the 3110? Is $1500 about right? If so are there people interested in purchasing it jointly?

The same buyer also has a 82 JR for sale at a lot less than the 3110.

possibly
but it would have to be absolutely top secret
and I would be nervous bringing Michelle to any future offlines out of fear of someone accidentally spilling the beans in general wine conversation
but, still keen!

I've been blackmailed constantly by the missus for 16 years so that's not such a concern
It's a $5000 new handbag that scares me
She doesn't mess around

$50 for both of them
Re: Lindemans 1959 Bin 1590 x 1 and 1965 Bin 3110 x2
So far I have had one request for a price on the DRC that was also included in the list. Does anyone have any serious interest in the other wines I have listed above. Can't really see the seller taking $50 and if he did I wouldn't be telling anyone here ahead of drinking them myself.
Re: Lindemans 1959 Bin 1590 x 1 and 1965 Bin 3110 x2
What is the actual price he is after for it?
Re: Lindemans 1959 Bin 1590 x 1 and 1965 Bin 3110 x2
$2500 is the opening ask. if its off mark then people can put up an alternative offer. the JR '82 was $400dave vino wrote:What is the actual price he is after for it?
