Re: Barossa favourite
Well I just reported the post an hour or so ago.... Gav prob got an email.
Poor form by nikit and while it did give some free advertising, I'll not be looking at the items just on principle.

Agreed. I received a call from the 'company' in question mid last year offering me a 'rare offering' of well cellared stock from a 'prized' cellar in Hong Kong. The telemarketer was quoting me all sorts of 'great deals' on stacks of aged Aussie wines; single bottle buys and case buys. After 2-3 mins of trying to stop them I had to be blunt and shut them down. Afterward I was inquisitive about some the pricing, after a quick Google, the wines, the vintages and prices offered were not a 'rare deal' but exactly what was on Uncle Dan's site.

I am almost certain that recent unreserved / $5 reserve auctions have got a decent amount of dummy bidders in play
It is just not possible to have 3, 4, 5 or more lots of wine after wine sitting at literally exactly the same price with expensive wines, sometimes with considerable differences in condition (ullage mainly), and funnily enough each time is around 10% less than exactly the same wines sitting on the fine wine or other types of non reserved auctions.
They have got their marketing machine exploring other avenues of securing sales and it's getting dirty.
Ok, I'm taking the tin foil hat off now Dave
