Heya guys,
The panic hath set in. 3 weeks before the wedding, and not enough wine.
I am thinking of a 1996 theme, and have decided on the Peter Lehmann Eight Songs as one of the wines. Have been purchasing through the auctions for the last 6 months, but still find myself a case short!!!
Please help. I am open to single bottle offers even, and will be amenable to replacing bottles if I get some in the future.
Thanks in advance guys.......
Monghead.
HELP please...
Relax, Monghead,
1996 is a wonderful idea and qualitatively an interesting mix. There is a showcase of great wine out there. Doesn't have to be 1996- could be any year if fine wine is your ultimate goal. Diversity and celebration may well complement the theme for the wedding. Guests might like random bottles of fine interest than slavish adherence to one wine. Langtons Exchange in one hit should procure you more than you could ever need.
You sound like you have enough Eight Songs to make its presence significant. But lucky dip where every bottle is a winner is not a bad fallback.
