2000 Evans & Tate Shiraz, Margaret River (cork): 14% alc. Medium to very dark crimson/red. Dusty and earthy nose with violets and black cherry matched to spicy, cedar/graphite oak; the palate’s medium-weight with the same dusty/earthy ripe berry fruit and spicy oak characters with a touch of minty warmth mid-palate, but there is also an ever so slight hint of green dampness on the finish as well as the nose. With breathing the slight cork taint gets noticeably stronger - a pity as I got the feeling this could have been an excellent wine.
Cheers,
Ian

And it wasn't too bad in it's day. The last one of these I had was a couple of years ago, and it was good, without setting the world on fire. 1999 and 2001 were much better vintages.
Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
