Hey all
This might seem like a stretch, but anyone recommend a decent restaurant and/or place to get a glass of wine in Cairns?
I have to pass through for a night early next week. Last time I was there I had a bad experience at some place that was supposed to be really good and was quite crap, but charging a bomb.
Since I will be travelling solo and bored I thought I would treat myself to a decent meal rather than a beer at some dodgy backpacker pub.
Cheers

I usually lunch or dine at the Salt house which is a seafood themed place right on the point. Usually some decent Rieslings, SSB and Chardies available which match well.

A bit late for you this time, but there's a couple of cracking Indian places on Sheridan. I think one is Mother India, the other might have been Bombay Kitchen. But it's been a while. If you like Indian, of course, real Indian, not pretend.

How did your Cairns trip go wine wise?

Hey Rocky
I ended up dining at...Water Bar and Grill? Or something like that down on the Espy. Had a nice glass of Riesling and a decent red. Being on my own and not wanting to get a whole bottle did restrict options, which was a shame as they had some ok bottles at not too bad mark ups.
Then shifted to a few whiskies before bed looks like there are a few ok places but some of them also weren't open on Monday nights.
