Ive always pondered just how many wines you can properly taste (and spit) in one sitting until your palate becomes well and truly jaded and your eyes and especially nose have to assume full responsibility for your tasting notes.
For what its worth, my estimate is about somewhere between the 12 to 20 mark (especially if they are all reds).

Jaded Palate
At a smalle tasting where Im looking at wines in detail I think about a dozen in the end of it. At bigger "sip and spit" tastings I reckon I can get to about 30. I'm assuming medium to full bodied reds for these numbers, and Im assuming that if the wines were lighter I might be able to do more - but I've never been to a tasting of 30 or more whites or light bodied reds!
