Shadowfax Yarra Valley Cab Sav 2000

Post by Colin »

I bought some Shadowfax Yarra Valley 2000 CS on spec, has anyone tasted it?

Vintage 2000 is one of the best in Yarra Valley for some years so I am hoping it translates into this wine. Will I be jubilant or disappointed?

Colin, it's ok, depends on the price you paid I guess? If you don't mind me asking.
It's the only one Shadowfax made
Fruit sourced from Hillcrest before Hillcrest launched their own label.

Interesting that Matt Harrop is not interested in making a cabernet anymore.

That 2000 was given 94pts by Halliday I think.
