For those that went to the Vic Wine Expo in the weekend, what wines impressed you.

I tasted alot of nice wines:
2002 Connor Park Shiraz (a very underrated wine)
2002 Coldstream Hills Pinot Noir (not tasted before)
2002 Knots "The Bridge" Shiraz (Heathcote)
2002 Kimbarra Shiraz
2002 Warenmang Black Puma Shiraz (the best wine of the show for me with incredible concentration)
2002 Balgownie Estate Shiraz.

I wonerful discovery I made was the 2002 Tallis Dookie Hills Shiraz. Whilst not a blockbuster, it had very good concentration and lovely palate. It is incredible value at $16.00 a bottle. the vines are planted in Cambrian soil, the same as that found in Heathcote.

I have not supplied tasting notes as I did not have time to do so given that I wanted to taste as many wine as I could.

Martin C,

I did taste the 2002 Connor Park Durif, and I did enjoy it. It is a blockbuster which needs several years in the cellar. However, I enjoyed the 2002 Connor Park Shiraz more.
