White shiraz? I'm shocked that anyone would even contemplate trying it! Blechhh! Sounds as though it could supplant Asti Mondoro as an accompaniement to sweet pancakes with ersatz maple syrup and sweetened creamed margarine (low-fat, no cholesterol, of course) for an American Spritz (champagne?) breakfast wine. Guess it might have some competition from cheap lambrusco though

Oh, I almost forgot the obligatory streaky bacon with the pancakes.
