Pricing oddities

Thought I'd share with you the Grange pricing of a London merchant I stumbled across through wine-searcher.

Ian, those prices do seem odd - the 96 is the cheapest and here in Oz is the most highly regarded of those listed. Very good price - have a solitary bottle to drink in perhaps another 10 years time - I paid A$320 for it in year of release although it was probably available from other sources here for A$280-290. If you're considering buying any of the above, the 96 would be the one to get on vintage reputation alone, even if it wasn't the cheapest - unless it's provenance/storage is questionable.

I'm hoping to keep Grange out of my price range - otherwise I'll be in serious financial trouble!
They seemed to have a similar pricing policy across other wines (e.g. John Riddoch, St Henri etc.) with 97 more than 96 or 98. That coupled with the "big names" nature of the Australian wines suggested a lazy approach to their wines (or maybe more likely their clients are the lazy ones?).
