Ok you guys (and gals) - Whose coming to this next week? Please contact me if you are interested in hooking up for the day.

This is the open day of the International Shiraz Alliance.

I have reserved 10 places for:
FOUR DECADES OF BAROSSA SHIRAZ
$50 per head and if we can get 6 - 10 people a 10% discount.

Peter Lehmann Wines - Time: 11.00am - 1.00pm
Drawn from Peter LehmannÂ’s private cellar and the
wineryÂ’s museum, taste 10 great Barossa Shiraz from
the last 40 years. Barossa Legend, Peter Lehmann,
PLWÂ’s Chief Winemaker, Andrew Wigan, and Peter Scholz
of the Willows Vineyard will lead participants through
the evolution of classic Barossa Shiraz under the urbane
guidance of a passionate Shirazophile, Andrew Caillard
MW, of LangtonÂ’s Fine Wine Auctions. Discover the
nuances of terroir, oak maturation (American and French)
from early Lehmann wines made at Saltram, to Stonewell,
Eight Songs and The Bonesetter!

Then moving on to St Halletts to catch the last of:
SHIRAZ AND ALL THAT TERROIR
St Hallett cellar door. Time: 11am - 2pm
Shiraz tasting from a diverse range of regions &
distinguished sites throughout Australia, including
icon wines from;
Petaluma - Adelaide Hills
Tatachilla - McLaren Vale
St Hallett - Barossa/ Eden Valley
Knappstein - Clare
Smithbrook - Pemberton
Mitchelton - Central Victoria
Wines will be poured by winemaker Stuart Blackwell from
St Hallett. Andrew Hardy from Knappstein and Con Mosho
from Petaluma. The tasting will include current, back
vintage & barrel samples of these outstanding examples
of Shiraz.

Then finishing off at Ch. Tananda with:
BAREFACED BAROSSA
Time: 10am - 5pm
Behind the well known brands and labels there are
dozens of tiny Barossa producers making just a few
barrels of handmade Shiraz. One of the BarossaÂ’s most
historic wineries, Château Tanunda, originally built by
businessmen for the growers of the Barossa in 1890,
now home to the Barossa Small Winemakers Centre,
will appropriately offer a chance for you to sample these
wines. 25 uniquely Barossan Shiraz and Shiraz blends
will be available to taste and youÂ’ll also get the chance
to meet the small winemakers. Get face to face with
producers who represent the unique community, history
and flavours of Barossa Shiraz.
Free
Cheers
