13% A/V

Revealing a slightly hazy, mature hue, this fine Pinot Noir reveals an intense feral, gamey bouquet with considerable amounts of sap, mineral iron, iodine, blood and sour cherry in support. Good stuff! There's significantly more fresh, primary fruit on the palate with bing cherry/satsuma plum to the fore. Of medium-body, silky texture, bright acidity and a long, soft finish, this glides down the throat all too easily. The oak/tannin structure is so fine and well-judged it's hardly noticeable but is "in sync" with the general "elegant" thrust of the palate and what, surely, rates as an Excellent example of Bourgogne. Drink now - 2008.
