TN: 2002 Massena The 11th Hour Shiraz

A deep, inky purple color, almost black. An intense nose of tar, licorice, blackberry and a hint of cloves. On entry, cascades of lusciously sweet licorice/aniseed dominate the palate. This is a heavy, yet elegant wine with concentrated fruits, a velvety mouthfeel and seamless almost submered tannins. The flavours linger for minutes afterwards. Excellent stuff.
Score: 19/20
Cheers

Hello

It was $30 pb, but long sold out here, and given its limited release within Australia, I suspect elsewhere too (although I could be wrong with that.)
