Unfortunately Singapore is not the cheapest place to buy wine, but if you're in the area perhaps check out the newly opened Providore in Outram Road, who have a good selection of wine and gourmet foods.
I was waiting for a moment, but that moment never came

Thanks... I am living in Singapore now... but I have only been here 2 and a half days, of which the vast majority has been spent in the office!

I was there for a few weeks a while back, and you'll find Australian wine expensive. But it might give you the opportunity to explore wine from other countries. But even so, it's still expensive. Basically, the excise on alcohol is $70/l, so for the average wine, you'll be paying $6.50-$8 extra, just for the ethanol content. Doesn't bode well for cheaper wines.

I'd suggest your local big supermarket and make sue of their bulk-buying ability. See what they've got and be prepared for some paint-stripper wines before you find what's good.

You can try Infinite Supply..

Quaffers will be expensive but at least imported stuff on the higher end won't be too bad...Bordeaux will be maybe 15-20% more than a really competitive market...so about half of what it is in Oz..

Hi all, here's some info for those in singapore. There is one specialist bottle shop aude in thomson plaza. It's called cellar deluxe. Some bargains there. Back vintage punters corner, Ashton hills, Samuels gorge, galah.wines, among others. They specialise in Aussie wines

There is another bottleshop at the basement of the orchard paragon shopping centre in orchard road that was selling 02 Rockford basketpress for 145 sgd.

I'd definitely not be looking at Australian wine overseas except maybe in the US and UK..and even then only when there is some funny price discrepancy...like some stuff is priced far lower than it is in Australia as their normal market price..and in some cases there are closeout prices that are hard to pass up.....But except for that, the high AUD makes it hard for them to compete...plus you'll have access to wines that are priced so stupidly in Australia that you might as well enjoy those...
