New BLIND BLIND tasting glass

Post by Glen »

Hi All

Recently I was lucky enough to be sent one of the new Blind Blind tasting glasses from Ambient Australia (Riedels' distributor in Australia) for evaluation and review.

Very interesting to say the least, and brand new to Australia!

You can read my review at the following link:-

http://www.wineindustryjobs.com.au/public.php?page=news&newsid=2

It wasn't the first time that I had encountered such a glass as I also saw something similar to this in Madeira last year which the wineries there use quite regularly.

Happy reading.

Everyone should at least try a glass like this, just to see how much influence color does have on your assessment of wine - but at $85 !!

Actually more like $42US at Amazon so maybe one for me, and I'll buy some of these for whomever else is brave enough to try them! After all "Not only are these the hand-blown black crystal stems experts use to examine wine purely by smell and taste and not by color, they have also come into fashion in Italy." Fashionable tasting glass! :D
