Dont be too hasty. It might not fetch a high price, but if I owned it, I'd open the sucker up and drink it one evening with a few wine buffs and see what you think. I cant tolerate Hardys at all, but you wont know until you try it! :D

you simply HAVE to go to Daniel Schulsters winery. Its a little north of CHch in the Waipara region. Good wine and a great bloke.
Theres many others in the same area but his is the pick of the bunch. (no pun intended)

mabey Red Velvet and Max have a point... lying them down increases surface area for sediment and/or Oxygen. with this "theory" it would be irrelavant what type of stopper is used.

Would it even make a difference? This may be a simple question, but Im new to all this so i...

strange cork residue

I recently opened a bottle of Pegasus Bay 2002 Pinot Noir (not an Australian wine I know but anyway...) And found on the bottom of the cork what appeared to be sugar crystals. Little roughly square whitish deposits. Is this a common thing to find? I've certainly not noticed it before. And is it suga...

Tasting note...

Yup, its good alright. I dont really write "notes" I just remember the good ones and forget the rest. I liked its ripe berry tones and its meandering length.

You can NEVER watch too much X files

You've stumbled onto the truth... Penfolds did indeed steal all the good juice for the 707....hence the price we are all forced to pay :D
