I am double-booked for a 50th that evening, that, while i was warned some time ago over a couple of old Lindeman's LR's, didn't really hit home until the invite arrived last night. Just 1 for me, and Sat 10th is my preference. Interesting comment re numbers, 2 bottles of some of these rarer wines may represent a measureable cellar burden. Guess it's not a last-bottle night.

Is this a closed offline or can anyone bribe their way in with a red sparkler (Classic Clare Sp Shiraz 1995), and some old Cabs (Wynns John Riddoch 1986 + another ... Wendouree Cab 95?)

It's actually a dierisis, not an umlaut (though the two look identical), and the correct pronunciation is m-WET. It is Dutch, not German or French. Moe is the town in Victoria.
