Re: Cellar Conditioners
Hi Simon, For my insulation I used 75 mm extruded foam panels, I also insulated within the wall cavity and in the ceiling on top of foam panel with rockwool, then there is sisilation wall wrap then a 50 mm air cavity then hebal panel on the exterior. Works really well. As for racks I too have used s...

Re: Cellar Conditioners
I've got a fondis 25, and it has been great. Constant temp, and does not seem to cost a fortune to run. But I guess that comes down to your insulation.

Re: Tahbilk delivers - in nearly every way...
Good to hear the restaurant is on song again, we love Tahbilk too, but have had two really bad experiences at the wetlands cafe in the last 12 months. Really bad service,eg. over an hour wait for grazing platter, and over 1 and a half hour wait for kids meals. And similar experience the second time....

Re: Finally installed some racks.
I've made all the frames out of 95x30 vic ash, all biscuit joined and stainless screws, then have used 100x100 gal mesh for the racking which is recessed in on all sides. Then the mesh has some wire tied through out the panel to stop it spreading. On the ends I have also used a 25x25 mm gal mesh jus...

Re: Finally installed some racks.
No it won't be enough, but plenty more room for more racks, just building them as I need them now. Quite a lot of work in those racks so will have a bit of time off before making some more.

I did do that at the beginning, while the air sometimes fluctuates + - degree or too it does not change the bottle temperature, even the last few weeks we have had about 12 days at 40+ degrees and the temp is very constant.

Re: My new cellar
Hi there, the door is a solid hardwood frame with double glazed argon gas filled panel, I did get it made. Off memory it was about $800. It also has rubber seals all around the door including the floor so it's pretty airtight. I have some racks in now which I made, still have couple of walls to go b...
