had a botle of this maybe 2 years ago - no real notes taken but i do recall that it was a tannic bugger with the fruit all but gone - having said that - the conditions the bottle may have been in could have been fair to middling at best.

At that time I found myself mainly drinking cab sav's described as (and on the whole) tasting, herbaceous. i never found myself enamoured with the OTT capsicum/green type characters... but a degree of herbaceousness sat fine w...

Sticks 2004 Chardonnay - lots of citrussy character fresh and zingy with just a touch of oak - went well with veal saltomboca for dinner. Feathertop 2002 Shiraz Viognier - not bad - little sweet, but pleasant enough Rufus Stone 2003 McLaren Vale Shiraz - tasty, good tannin finish... relatively savo...

Hi Torb Tasted the line-up (minus the riesling) on Saturday. I assume you would like impressions of the reds only yes??? FWIW I liked the new Summertown chardy, as a fuller bodied, toasty wine. Ready to go. The Piccadily seems more austere at this point (lots of citrusy freshness and even a hint of ...

Took a bottle of this out and opened at the local chinese - later in the banquet with some beef and lamb goodies - wasn't overly impressed at first - then it became nigh on impossible to judge as one dish had a ridiculous amount of dried chillies thru it. Had another look 2 days later - very nice - ...

2002 Graveyard - medium to dark in colour with a touch of purple. On the nose, earthy hunter, sweetness (think nice soft berries and even some choc/mocha). The palate isn't too sweet - with some vanillan oak, more of the mocha character follwing from the nose, ripe dark berry flavours and finishing ...
