Personally I'd go with the wine. Measure up your cupboard, you may be able to put a front venting fridge inside it, Save you a bit if money, which should placate the wife.

As long as you get the insulation right it will work. You need a vapour barrier(heavy duty plastic will work) min. 50mm polystyrene, then line it with blue board. Pick a cooler and take it from there. By the time you do all this it will cost about the same as a Wine fridge if not more. Don't forget ...
