Re: Right, what are we/you drinking now .. tonight
I enjoyed their Chardonnay last week so I thought I'd try the 2014 Byron & Harold 'Wandering Lane' Great Southern Riesling tonight with dinner. It's better than the Chardonnay & offers great value for $14.99 a bottle. It tastes much more developed than it should at just two years of age with...

Binner Muscat Kaefferkopf Le "30" 1997
Can anyone advise on a suitable drinking window for this as I haven't got much knowledge of Alsace Muscat? I picked it up in Paris in 2012 have found it very difficult to find information on it since. I get the feeling that it might be past it's best. Any assistance would be welcome. https://images....

I popped a bottle of non-vintage Codorníu Clasico 1872 Cava to go with my chicken curry tonight. It's quite fruity with plenty of freshness & a good balance between sweetness & acidity. It's not bad value for $12 a bottle actually.

Re: July 2016 Purchases
Picked up some 2014 Cape Mentelle Chardonnay as encouragement for my missus to get through the birth of our first child. She's due in nine days & wants me to dangle a bottle just out of reach while she's in labor to give her some incentive.

Re: Wine cabinet / fridge
I have a 50 bottle Liebherr that I paid around $2500 for in 2007 & also have a 170 bottle Vintec one I paid $3500 for in around 2011. The Vintec has broken down twice whereas the Liebherr has never missed a beat. I highly recommend spending the extra money to get a good single temperature fridge.

Re: The Top 5 Producers/Wineries in Your Cellar Are...
And it's finally time for my first post!! 1. Penfolds 2. Coolangatta Estate 3. Tyrrells 4. Yalumba 5. Centennial Vineyards I'm not surprised by that result because my cellar is so varied & I rarely buy multiple bottles from the one producer unless I'm at the cellar door which is why the NSW wine...
