I think any Nebbiolo with some bottle age would be welcome. I think comparing Aged Nebbiolo from different terroir would be of interest to the group.

Barolo and Barbaresco Dinner

I attended the last Rare Wine Dinner for 2015 at Salt Pepper Nutmeg last Saturday night. We were served 11 wines with two Barolo showing very well. 1969 Batasiolo Kiola Barolo and 1974 Cantina Della Porta Rossa Barolo. I meet Adam at the dinner who seems to like Barolo a lot He wants me to find 6 or...

Re: The Barolo / Barbaresco / Nebbiolo thread

I went to the last rare wines dinner at Salt Pepper Nutmeg last Saturday. I happened to seat next to adam who is a self confessed Barolo fanatic. He has asked if some formites would entertain a Barolo and Barbaresco off line in Sydney North Shore Restaurant. Adam is keen to have 8-10 die hearts for ...

I personally think Huon Hooke is a reasonable judge of good wine. Anyone that goes to Italy for Barolo wine tastings has got good taste in wine.

Langton's.xlsx Give this a go! It has all the wines from the Excellent & Outstanding classifications. You can sort and filter according to: Varietal, Region, Classification and a user-defined Tasting Priority. Great Work- I have printed the list. I maybe lucky as I am doing the exceptional wine...

August should still be a cool month- You want to avoid quick temperature change so putting them in foam box should be adequate. I would be placing the box on back seat with seat belt just in case. Avoid as much vibration as possible as the old men get grumpy when awoken suddenly.

I will be making my feelings about the new crap web site known to Langton people on the 15 May 14 in Sydney I am sure all forum members will do the same at the classification tasting evenings. I have built almost my entire wine cellar via langtons but now will not bother until they fix it.
