I felt the wine lacked the acid to carry the wine for a resonable ageing time Both bottles were the same so who knows The price drop is interesting should be at least $10 retail I think the 99 was so good and now the 00 is lacking class I will try it again soon at the next lehman tasting [/quote]

I agree there is not as much tannin as say the 2001 Moss Wood or 2001 Cullen, but the trad doas not have the fruit and acid for it to stay in for a good run. I score in teh 20 point show system and in the last three times i have tasted it is has score about 15.5 16 15 To my is a good wine but not th...

When the tannin is out of balance with the rest of the wine if there is to much all that will live in the wine is tannin after the fruit dies by the way I am not saying the wine will be dead in 3-5 years. I think it will by looking tired by 05 or 06 and going down hill fast after that. I have 02 at ...

One wine you should have a good look at is the 1999 and 2001 Jack Mann I had the 99 last night at it's still only now setteling down. The 2001 Jack Mann is not out yet Hardy's are still trying to sell the 00 which is nowhere near as good as any of the others. anyway the 2001 is a monster of a wine a...
