Was up at Rockford’s last Friday did a stonewall tasting . All wines excellent . Local growers sem always a favourite. Was down in stone wall cellar saw they did a sav blanc in 1986. You got that one Craig!?

Opened a 2014 wendouree Shiraz on satdee evening poured into a conical flask . Left for about 30 mins -1 hour . Back into bottle and off to dinner. Opened again prob 45 mins later and it was drinking beautifully.

No real margin in flipping Wendouree or most cult wines . I get the ‘off load’ model freeing some $$$ for something else you have a greater passion for / aka palate shift .

Copped a whack on the cc for about 90% of what I ordered . As long as cab Malbec is in there I’m not too fussed

I’m red crayon like most Wendouree- ites. I know some have the illustrious black signature . Is.there green crayon as well ? When I started with the mailer I was blank ! Now theres a gold crayon ( ) ? Is that between black and red ?

I hear bad things from certain vintages in various regions but that often gets turned on its head when I speak to various winemakers at cellar doors and wine shows . Good one Craig!. Thanks for that. I think we're still gonna stick with the 2010 and 1971 and go for an 80's and 90's.
Was talk of a 2004 instead of the 2010 but we'll see what the group thinks!

Big juicy beast. Love the dark fruits and oak. Tannins in the middle . bit of grip but starting to soften up.
