Re: Seppelt Original Sparkling Shiraz no longer a vintage wine

This makes me sad and kicking myself for drinking my box of 2015 so quickly now! This is one of my fav wines but there is something about NV wines that doesn’t resonate with me... I like to be able to understand the year and it’s impact on the winemaking process... I also like opening bottles to rel...

Re: Wine cabinet / fridge

I have had a grand cru 55 bottle fridge for 5 Years with no issues... I keep a vast majority of my cellar in offsite and just stock the fridge with ready to drink bottles or stuff I want close by.. I can’t complain, the value for money is outstanding, looks good and sturdy shelves... only criticism ...

Re: First time selling at Auction.

Not so much tastes changing as tastes expanding! A few things at play; 1 - In the early phase of collecting, like many others, I bought into a lot of amazing vintages, high scores and killer deals... loads of 6’s and 12’s .. I now want more diversification in what I drink... so want to offload a fai...

How many of each wine do you buy?

So it finally happened! After getting into wine a few years back and eagerly buying up everything I could - firstly just being a score whore, and now more aligned to what i like and cellar balance - I am at capacity! I have been buying a case of this and a case of that... I now have alot of wine. We...

2008 Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz I have been a big fan of this wine on this forum before, and I can see a few others above think so to! Well with a handful of years this wine becomes some much better than its price suggests... I popped and poured and it only got better in the glass so should have deca...

Time to do the wine budget!!
