One thing to note, it will fill the gap in their product range. When these assortments go on promotion, those that want a straight cab were not serviced. From a fosters(TWE)business perspective, They will pay the same rate to promote the assortment but move more volume due to the extra SKU. Not ever...

I could be cynical, and suggest that this is an attempt to reposition Black Label around the $25-30 mark, with the individual vineyard wines above that, and the JR / Michael as the Holy Grail (and back up to their $75 price points of yesteryear).
