Great notes. I too, loved the 2019 Dodgy Juxtaposed shiraz wines, and bought up big. Amazing low price for the quality.
I am a Koomilya shiraz fan, and have been really happy with everyone I have drunk, 13,14,15,17 and 18 JC.

A few recent wines.... 2015 Powell and Son Barossa shiraz I am really liking the 2015 vintage. This is rich ripe Barossa shiraz done so well. Better then the 2016 version. 2017 Marius Symphony First one. I think I may have stuffed up not buying much 2017 from Mclaren Vale. This is big and very serio...

I bought 2 doz 04s from retailers when released, paid more, but it was worth it. Drunk em all, except 1. Brilliant wine. Current oldest stash for drinking is the 08.

Re: Kangarilla Scarce Earth Project 2010
All wines that got the "Scarce Earth" label had to go before a tasting panel of judges to approve their ability. Oak had to be used and at least 2 years old, from what I remember. I liked the lower oak regime to the wines. Some are brilliant. The d'Arenberg single vineyard shiraz wines wer...

The last Scarce Earth vintage was 2015. I think not enough interest. I loved the concept, and still have quite a few wines from different wineries and vintages stashed away.

Re: Is Rockford Basket Press Worth the Fuss?
I am a Rockford fan. Been buying BP for 30 years. Its difficult to compare BP to other wines. To me, its a good basic view of the Barossa vintage for that year. The wines do vary a lot, even though they are come from multiple vineyards. I only ever got to buy 2 vintages of SVS, because I live in Syd...

Hutton Vale 2017, Stonegarden 2016) and The Standish the most. The Schubert Therom was also excellent as was The Relic. I just en...

91 Basedow may have held up, but I doubt it, and Jenke is not known for great sems.

Yes, I have loved the wine for many years, and the romance of it. Just about finished my stash of 2004s, which is a fantastic wine, 05 was good, 06 I didnt like much, 07 was a good representation of the year, 08 is just hitting its straps and I really like, 09 is good but a bit variable, 10 is brill...
