Re: Aphelion Grenache Tasting

Thanks very much for the comments guys, I love getting constructive feedback on our wines like this. Our 2016 Grenaches are sleeping in their barriques at the moment, I'll be bottling those and also my 2015 Sagrantino around the end of this year for probably a Feb(ish) release. Pressed off my 2016 M...

Re: the Tunnels wine storage Adelaide

Hi David, I've had a mixed pallet stored with them for a couple of years. I've only been back once a few weeks ago to reshuffle the pallet and they were fine for me to drop in on a Saturday morning for a couple of hours to do that. Good storage conditions in those tunnels. All positive from my exper...

Re: The Barolo / Barbaresco / Nebbiolo thread

Hi all, I'm going to be spending three days in Barolo and barbaresco in a couple of weeks time with the intention of visiting two producers each day. Is anyone able to recommend some cantinas for me to contact and arrange appointments with? My Italian is not good at all so I'd be looking for produce...

Re: Sunday just keeps rolling around

Been a busy week for me - Brindabella Hills sav blanc/semillon 2002 I found this under some other bottles in the cellar the other day. Well and truly past it of course but there were still a few interesting notes. Very limited fruit, quite vegetative and pea-ee. Remi Jobard Volnay 1er Cru red burgun...

I was at the Sydney event tonight. Was a good shoing from all the producers but the standout for me was the 1998 Balnaves Tally. Just beautiful. Still very fresh after 11 years.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info guys. cellaring hasn't been ideal but i think sufficient. and yes she bought the majority on release i believe. as an update, i've started going through the wines that you guys have suggested are well past their best. Unsurprisingly most were The Peter Lehmann 1991, Selena 1999 M...

curious on wine list

Hi All, My mother has recently decided to give up drinking for health reasons so I have been allowed to 'take possession' of here small but quite nice collection. I thought I'd post the list here for you guys to have a look at and comment on. I'm particularly interested if there are any gems here (b...

I'm studying a business degree in Sydney at the moment, and it finishes in June this year. I've been ...
