Tasting Charge

It seems that quite a few wineries are now charging around $5 for a tasting. I don't particularly agree with this and I know that if you buy, the $5 is reimbursed. It is only a small charge but why should I pay for tasting when the wineries are promoting their wines? What is your opinion on this cha...

Thanks, that's a very good guide. Price is very low but I'm hoping the contents of the bottles are worth more when the time comes for me to enjoy them :lol:

I paid $50 for the box.

Alex, Absolutely nothing wrong with whites. I probably drink 60% white and 40% red. Being a woman I have to taste all wines in sight! Try a soft young merlot to start your adventure into reds. I buy cleanskins regularly and pay around the $8 to $12 mark depending on the wine regions I'm at. For instance I would not pay any more than $8 from Bill Chambers (Rutherglen) because its usually a barrel he's forgotton about.
