Re: Penfolds 2014 release - any takers?
It's been a long time between posts here for me but i will add my 2c Southcorp / Fosters / Treasury have all mismanaged this company to the point very few people are actually interested. The pricing from a retail perspective is OTT and quite frankly there is so much good wine out there I have not ev...

I'll be letting my Langtons subscription lapse. I've never paid a subscription, although I do buy and sell there a bit, I contacted them and explained I didn't think it was approriate to pay a subscription so I could pay them commissions on any sales or purchases. They have renewed my account witho...

P.S. I don't have any 1966 Grange and have no intension of doing so. If I had the money I would though. I reckon $500-$600 for this wine is very seriously undervalued. I'm with you - 2nd best Grange I've ever had after the 71. The 71 is sublime..i was lucky to be given 2 bottles of 71 (my birthyear...

A really interesting thread guys. On my wages RunRig is priced OTT..as are many other things such a tsubi jeans yadyadyada. However if my financial capability was different (and it is gradually improving) those opinions may change. I'm often broke when i get the rockfords mailer..but always buy my a...

The sad thing about democracy is that elections are won by appealing to the lowest common denominator. Kieran Nice idea but you are rong! Its an erection (not an election) cause some pr**k of a politician always gets "up" and wins. You hit the nail on the head Torb..no matter what our personal poli...

Yep...we all seem to care about ourselves and the day to day. However somethings are just more important than that. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few years. Once those trees are gone...they cannot be replaced. I'm glad i've had the pleasure of seeing them while they are st...

McWilliams Mt Pleasent O'shea shiraz 1996 Being a Newcastle boy..i thought i'd return to my hunter roots and drink something a bit different to what normally is found in my glass. Glad i did. Baby Chickpea..you might want to reconsider that though i'm guessing it was a bit in jest...the Bekaa valley is a major cannabis growing area..far more famous for its hashish than its wine. It would not be a safe place for a westerner to visit without connections...you might find yourself in a whole...
