And JO reckons that the 2005 is even better. So much so that he wants the price upped! what from $16.99 to $20? c I doubt there will be any significant price increases soon (although stranger things have happened). Wynns has been the slowest to get back on their feet after the price slashing by Sou...

The St Henri, which seems to be in good condition from your description, is probably better than most vintages of Grange. (In those days, St Henri and Grange were sort of regarded as equals). It's most likely drinking well, but it won't get any better. Drink up with people you love. The Wolf Blass, ...

Mal, get aircon and rely on the boffins to solve the greenhouse effect. Melbourne is near/just hot as Townsville through much of summer and more than sometimes hotter. Maybe that's the reason for the exodus to northern climes in winter where the weather's nicely temperate. There ain't nothin' wrong...

Christmas haul
My Christmas present from my father arrived early, and it felt heavy and unbalanced, something like three bottles of wine. So, I opened it up, and I'm now the proud owner of Noon Vat SC2 Dry Red 1990 Noon Unfiltered Grenache 1991 Grosset Gaia 1995 Any TNs or other useful information? Kieran

opened this on the weekend. Nice drink although may have been a little tainted as a few felt a little queazy after drinking it. Really golden colour almost going through to a shade of orange. So soft and velvetty to drink real soft tannins almost not present at all. Not light though very heavy almo...

I'm sure Murray has a group of some sort - he'll probably post if there's room for another. Alternatively, there might be something organised through the better liquor stores in the area - I seem to remember Bannockburn Cellars and Chas Cole Cellars fitting this description, but my memory may be unr...

Hmm...just impressions from my (hazy) memory. Cape Crest Sav Blanc 05: Tried this against my better judgement. Not too bad from the perspective of this SB hater. Tollana Riesling 89: Madeirized. A curio. Worth tasting, but couldn't drink much of it. Lindemans Chardonnay 92: I actually liked this one...

Noel kind of implied a lot of the names in their case were thought up after a long afternoon of blending and not enough spitting for he and Rolf. They are more meant to be a piss take than any clever marketing. Guess it is hard to tell the difference between and marketeer and a drunk some times Gle...
