Bindi 02 Chardonay TN or general info please
I have just recieved the mailing list and can't remember reading any reports on Bindi wines from 02. I would imagine they should be good, given the great year all round, but one can't be too careful (..."one" has fallen into that trap before!) There is no pinot on the list , I guess that means it is...

Kelly marque and Commodore..?
Apparently there is 100 cases of Kelly Marque going for around $9 a bottle in Sydney, going out of business or something. A friend looking for a cheap quaffer asked me for an opinion but I haven't heard of the wine (...one can only drink so much in one lifetime!). Any idea if it is any good or if so...

maximising cellaring conditions
Hi. The way to go with insulation is to use a combination of R2 polyester batts (you don't want itchy fibre-glass) and a product called air-cell, which is a foil blanket. Put the batts in between the ceiling (floor) joists and use the air-cell as a lining to hold the batts in place. Use a hand stapl...

Pinot & Salmon
Hi Blake, for what its worth I have been disappointed seval times with Salmon & Pinot. My friend Don does a wonderful bbq whole salmon and it seems to go better with a nice riesling or piot gris (something to cut through the oilyness of the fish). Pinot especially doesn't seem to go with any sor...

seppelts original sparkling shiraz
I recently tried the 1998 Seppelts original for the first time (better late than never) and was very impressed with the quality v price. Of course the 98 is hard to find now and am not sure that the 99, which is readily available is as good...it certainly lacks the same scented, pleasantly soapy aro...

Celia, that is the most valuable piece of advice I have read on this forum, so far. Seriously! Thank god I read your post one day after I faxed my order through to Dry River!... "hic"...otherwise I may never have done it, Colin.

How to get wine from NZ to Oz, help please
I have 2-3 cases storage in NZ including some Dry River that I can't wait to get my hands on. Am going there next week and will be visiting Waiheke Is. and Martinborough, so may well end up with a bit more than I can carry. I once came back with 21 bottles in my hand luggage but the weight and the s...
