They raved about the R&S in the newsletter. I have tried it twice at CD. The first time I was unimpressed, the second, it was better but preferred the Moppa (and bought some) each time.

I've found the 99 Wendourees to be variable, so no surprises there.

Interesting re the '67 given that it was a pretty average vintage and rode on the coat tails of '66. Notwithstanding the magnum format, and I hate to broach this, but is there any chance that it might have been a ... fake?

If you missed out, it's not the end of the world. Buy something else. No point complaining. If the winery can't supply you, they can't supply you. There's plenty more great wines out there.

Where do you put all this wine, Craig? You must have a mineshaft as a cellar.

My wedding wine in 2001. Had about 18 bottles left over. Should have put them in a dark place and forgotten about them. They were bloody good!

My single, treasured bottle of 91 Wynns Centenary hit the heights this year. Simply superb. Honourable mentions to the 90 MM Quintet, 76 Wendouree VP, 06 Faiveley Latricieres-Chambertin and the 12 Foundi Estate Xinomavro.
