Re: Looking for Tuck's Ridge Buckle Vineyard Pinot 2007
Hi Dave, I work at Tuck's Ridge as the General Manager and unfortunately it will be difficult for you to find this wine. We only make about 100 cases of this wine and it sell out very quickly indeed. We only release this wine from Cellar Door so it is almost impossible to find it in retail stores ar...

'89 Grange
Last weekend I opened an '89 and '88. The 88 was wonderful. My initial thoughts on the 89 was that it was corked, then that it had an array of issues. None of which were 'normal'. however after a couple of decants and after forcing as much air into the wine as I could it came good. That said it was ...

Morningon Peninsula Cellar Doors
I can also add Tuck's Ridge. They have the number one rated halliday pinot noir in the country (Buckle) and the number one rated Chardonnay in the region (also Buckle). They offer vertical tastings of Chardonnays and have the best view in the region. I have been there often and have never been anyth...

Tri Nations
Then the whole show system is flawed for all of the above reasons. Entries to all shows coast money and wine and possibly freight. So the same arguement could be levelled at all types of wine show. At least with the Tri Nations it is some of the top rated wines by catregory and selected critics that...

Tri Nations
The tri nations is NOT expensive to enter and the wines represent the best wines from each category. It may be flawed but certainly not for the reasons mentioned here. Yes wines are asked to enter otherwise it would be open to any bulk producing winery anywhere. So thankfully there are some limits p...

Sideways
I thought it one of the worst films I've ever seen. If you want a wonderful film about wine (but so much more as well) then the first and last to see is Mondovino. If you think Robert Parker is god though don't bother, he comes up looking pretty foolish.

Mornington
On all my visits to the Mornignton Peninsula I have always been drawn to Tuck's Ridge and have not once been dissapointed. They have a wonderful range of estate wines and a sensational range of single vineyard wines. Infact the Buckle Pinot 2006 was the top Pinot in the country in Halliday and the B...

Small holding vineyards
The closer to the city the more you will pay for land. The closest grape growing regions to cities in Australia would generally be Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley in Victoria and Adelaide hills in Sth Australia. All three have a great future outlook in fine wine production.

Wine Tasting kits
I am looking for a wine tastes kit. I believe it is possible to buy a kit that contains small vials of aromas associated with various wines to help educate and heighten peoples abilities to sense these more subtle attributes. Does anybody know about these and if so are they any good and where can I ...

Thanks for that. I had heard also that Main Ridge Estate and Foxeys Hangout were worth a visit as was Tuck's Ridge. How would you respond to these suggestions. Also I heard The Long Table for dinner.

Mornington Peninsula Tour
I am planning a tour of the Mornington Peninsula over the March long weekend. Any advice relating to wineries, wines and restaurants would be greatly appreciated. I am planning to spend a couple of days in the area so any accomodation ideas would also be welcome.

1968 Penfolds Grange hermitage
i am wondering if anybody is able to enlighten me as to how this wine is currently drinking. I am assuming that I should be drinking it rather soon, but am happy to take on board any more current and knowledgable suggestions.
