Jaycar thermostat

Post by Anonymous »

Has anyone tried one of Jaycars wine cooler kits? - looks to be a 240V relay on a thermostat I assume. I imagine they could be used to control a fridge or air-conditioner for cellaring?
[search for "wine cooler kit" on the jaycar site]

cheers

I'd be concerned with how it handles humidity.

I would say it is only a thermostat - ? what would happen with humidity. Given that in my relatively young collection there is about 2% corks (and decreasing) I doubt it would be an issue....

The dryest place in the average home is the fridge. If you're cellaring or storing wines with refrigertion only, I personally guarnantee you some corkage.
Why do people ruin perfectly good Shiraz by blending it with other varieties? Oh the humanity of it all......
