Kalleske Pirathon Barossa Valley Shiraz 2006

Kalleske Pirathon 2006 - I notice that the 2006 is out on the market. Just wondering has anyone tasted it. Is it similar in quality to the 2005?.

Had it last night. I've had the 2005, but don't remember mutch about it. The 2006 was quite tight and restrained at first, dark fruits and a bit figgy but over the course of dinner it opened up in to quite an elegent big red (if that makes sense). At the 'about town' shelf price, quite good value I reckon.

Agreed. It was a good wine and for twenty bucks-ish, good value too.
