Avatars for forum

Post by Gavin Trott »

Hello All

Having just figured out myself how to put avatars on (the little pictures under the name), please let me know if you'd like to add one too.

If you have your own web site, its simple ... go to your profile on the forum and include the URL to the image in the avatar space provided, and all is well.

If you do not, there is a simple solution. Email me your image of choice, I will put it up for you, and your link will be as follows.

If the image is called yourimage.jpg

http://www.auswine.com.au/image/yourimage.jpg

Once its up, go to your profile and on the bottom is a link to your avatar, simply use the link above and all should work fine.

Let me know if you're interested, avatars can be serious, or fun or ...? your choice.

What are the maximum specs for an avatar :?:

Chardonnay: A drink you have when there is no RED wine, the beer hasn't arrived and the water may be polluted

They state 70 by 70 pixels and no bigger than 6kb in size.

That said, I think David's is bigger than that and no problems putting it on.

I found his for him by going to

http://www.google.com.au/imghp?tab=wi&q ... l=en&meta=

which is the Google Image searcher, lots of options there.

C'est la vie  But I'm sure there would have been lots of froggy reds anyway.

Would it make a difference if I change my Avatar to Fiona (before or after?)

Brian,

Doesn't Fiona turn into an ogre, too, when the sun goes down? And in the end, Shrek and Fiona, live happily ever after? Think it best we go our own seperate ways before things get too serious :!:
